The new prayers don't really open up new ways to play the game, they're just better prayers at the cost of more prayer point drain and less defense buffs. Gambit is a shitty prayer that is going to make people toxic it you're not counting ticks correctly and flicking it on.

A new one designed with the old school feel in mind. Ancient Curses changed the old school game dramatically and that isn't really up for debate imo. Yea calling turmoil slightly better piety is an understatement. Turmoil gives 15% boosted accuracy and defence and 23% boosted strength. Ruinous Prayers first look and Beta Release. The icons look okay. Hoping all of them pass personally. Normal prayer book will still be very good and be essential at places like inferno, nightmare, and more. But having an upgrade for 20 year old content otherwise would be nice. I think they are too over stimulating looking. they kinda hurt my eyes. Decrease the amount of damage you take from attacks of a given combat style by 25% when using the correct protection Prayer for that style. Increase the damage you take by protecting against the wrong combat style by 5%. Combat Sigil of Aggression: All attacks deal 10% more damage, but you take 5% more damage from all sources.
There's no reason to add the curse prayers other than "they were cool." Osrs is dependent on the current prayers giving exactly what they give, in the same way that Jagex has balanced monsters around the DWH. Xarpus in Raids 2 was given stats assuming you will have a DWH. He's not feasible to kill without it (or the bgs). Strongbones is by far the hardest of the high priests. To take him on it is recommended to have at least level 70 melee stats along with 70 Prayer for Piety, or slightly higher melee stats if using Chivalry.It is also recommended to use the Protect from Melee prayer, as the skoblins he summons only attack with melee. The new prayers have insane drain and they ARE 1t flickable. At this point the drain is so high that it's pretty much mandatory to 1t flick these prayers. Sometimes I really don't understand Jagex AND this community. Not just higher max prayer, but more prayer per potion. Saves you money, time, and inventory spaces. There’s also an 85 prayer req for desert elite. Prayer is already useful enough, and it’s max reqs are pretty high as is. It couldn't have turmoil, soul split or spec leach. Never.Cruor’s and Glacies’ Vow need a buff, they are currently not worth the prayer points, and of course Fumus’ vow needs to be balanced (nerfed). We shouldn’t have to mindlessly click a prayer icon 200 times a minute to be able to get full value out of the new prayer book. It’s okay to make content fun and enjoyable.
